'Physical education develops student's physical
competence and confidence, and their ability to use these to perform
in a range of activities. It provides opportunities for pupils to be
creative, competitive and to face up to different challenges as individuals
and in groups and teams. It promotes positive attitudes towards active
and healthy lifestyles.'
Children enjoy being active, while using their creativity and imagination in physical activity. Our curriculum provides a wide range of physical opportunities including, a variety of team sports, games, gymnastics, dance, athletics, swimming and parachute activities.
We are very fortunate to be right next door to the TCFA Football pitch and Graceway Sports Centre, which we use once or twice a week for our sports sessions. Our annual Sports Day is also held here.
In the summer term we visit the Marine Biology centre pool, a ten minute drive away from the school, for swimming.
There is also a Saturday morning club run by the Turks and Caicos Football Association that welcomes children from the age of 4 and up. http://www.football.tc/
In line hockey has also become a great hit on the island
and many of our children are involved in the newly formed PHL.
