School background:
Providenciales Primary School has operated in the Turks and Caicos Islands for over 30 years. We are proud to remain committed to our original philosophy of delivering a truly hands-on, play-based approach to learning.
Our school originally opened as a Pre-school in 1991. The founder of the school, Alison Williams, named the school Headstart Learning Centre. The school opened its doors with 2 children and enrolment rapidly grew to 25 within the first year.
In 1993 Headstart Learning Centre amalgamated with Turtle House School, another small school. At this time it became a primary school offering a British based education to children from the age of 2 to 11 years.
In 1995 new premises were built at Tuckers Hill and the school was renamed Providenciales Primary School.
In 2003 Providenciales Primary School moved once more to our current location, a much more central and attractive site at Graceway.
Our Middle School phase was added in 2018. We are passionate about the benefits of "all-through" education, where students move between educational phases with minimal transition. Today, Providenciales Primary & Middle School offers a dynamic educational experience for children aged 14 months - 14 years!
Due to our innovative, project-based curriculum, a clear focus on the development of skills and our outstanding academic results, our enrolment has now grown to over 200 students.
